Incroyable. Yes, the Cassoulet was amazing, but so was the Coquille St. Jacques with the most delicious roasted vegetables. The server was amazing, too. He helped us find the perfect regional wine for our meal.

Excellent cassoulet in the town it is famous for! Great service and explanation of the food and wine. Down quite side street, away from the noisy centre. Perfect. Thanks

Spectacular meal. We had three cassoulets which were divine. There was one vegetarian among us, which we thought might be a problem, but they fixed her a beautiful plate of roasted vegetables and rice that was divine as well. If you get a chance to go here, please do! You will not be disappointed!

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Castelnaudary. The variation of the menu along with the standard of the food it really should have a Michelin star. (or 2) The value for money is excellent as the size of each plate is excellent. I had a Roquefort and lardon salad which I could have kept eating all night it was that good. My family had Cassolet which is renowned for as the traditional dish and it did not disappoint. There is only so much though that you can eat in one night. The menu is varied, I thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Just make a reservation if you are going for dinner as it is a popular place with locals.

Uh ... Umm ... Amazing. Hint: order the cassoulet. It arrived at my table in the cassola with a beautifully caramelized crust under the tender white beans and meaty morsels . You also get a Cassoulet 101 in rapid fire French. The upshot is you are served the meats ( pork sausage, pork rib, confit of duck) in a thick bean stew. The meats themselves are great. The lengthy cooking method makes them like American barbeque minus the smoke. The ultimate pleasure lies in the bean stew, which is the most savory dish ever. The subtle vegetable background lifted by black pepper and imbued with pork and duck is incredible. I was surprised that the cassoulet at Chez David is not at all heavy. I was able to enjoy to my heart's content. They happily put the remaining stockpile of stew in a fiber-based container. I enjoyed them for lunch the next day while riding a bicycle further down the Canal du Midi. Great bike fuel! I enjoyed my dinner with a spot-on green salad and a glass of local wine. All excellent. Another hint : make reservations. It takes 6 hours to make, so there is only so much to go around.
